The Orthodox Christian world is a universe unto itself of knowledge, wisdom, and experience. There are numerous aspects of history, practice, prayer, theology, accounts, and music to unpack. Additionally media can be found in the forms of books, videos, and audio.
When looking as a whole it can appear daunting to interface with, but the beauty of Orthodoxy is you do not have to know everything before you jump in! As Orthodox Christians we believe in a life long process of
Theosis in which we discover, experience, and integrate aspects of God's nature into our lived human experience. Study is a significant part of one's growth, but also we welcome everyone to take a "come-and-see" approach where you come visit us to experience the lived out faith of a parish. Parishioners and clergy are happy to field questions, share their experience, and help you in your path to understanding and coming to Orthodoxy.
While the road is not always easy, and many times we are called to set aside some of our human notions to experience to totality of God's nature, we as Orthodox Chrisitans believe that this continual practice brings us in closer kinship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as community of believers.
To aide the inquiring and the faithful on their path to discovery we have assembled a list of resources to start developing one's knowledge of Christian Orthodoxy.
